Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Latte
A cozy cup that feels like a soft, colorful hug.
Why I love it:
This latte is pure comfort with a splash of magic. I use butterfly pea flower powder here instead of the dried flowers — it gives the drink a gorgeous soft blue color. The warm almond milk brings out a subtle, nutty flavor, and I sweeten it naturally with date syrup. You can use any milk you like, but I love how creamy it turns out with almond or oat.
Ingredients:
½ teaspoon butterfly pea flower powder
1 tablespoon hot water
1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
1–2 teaspoons date syrup, to taste
Optional: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: dried rose petals for topping
How to Make:
In a small bowl or cup, whisk the butterfly pea flower powder with hot water until smooth.
Warm the almond milk in a small pot or milk frother until hot but not boiling.
Stir in the date syrup and vanilla extract if using.
Pour the butterfly pea mixture into your mug, then add the warm milk.
Gently whisk or stir to combine. Optional: froth the milk first for a café-style touch.
Top with edible rose petals if you’d like a floral finish.
Tip:
You can use maple syrup or honey if you prefer, but I love the depth and natural sweetness of date syrup. I use the brand Just Date — not sponsored, just sharing!
