Blue Lotus Tea
Stillness in a cup. A soft return to yourself.
Blue lotus tea isn’t just a drink — it’s a moment. A quiet pause between the noise.
Traditionally used in ancient Egypt and Ayurveda for its calming, mildly euphoric effects, this tea invites a gentle shift in awareness. Not dramatic. Not overwhelming. Just… soft.
It’s a tea for evenings, for journaling, for gazing out the window or simply listening inward.
The petals look delicate, almost ethereal — but the energy is grounded and wise.
Ingredients:
1 tsp dried blue lotus petals (or 1 tea bag)
1½ cups hot water
Optional: a few rose petals or lavender buds for a floral blend
Optional: a touch of honey, date syrup, or coconut sugar
Instructions:
Heat water to just under boiling (around 190°F / 88°C).
Place the petals in a tea infuser or loose in your cup/teapot.
Pour water over and steep for 7–10 minutes.
Strain and sip slowly, with intention.
You may feel a gentle shift — a little more spaciousness, a little more ease. I like to drink this when I want to reconnect with myself, or when I’ve had a day that asked too much of me.
