Cacao Elixir
A heart-opening drink that nourishes the body and softens the soul.
Why I love it:
Cacao feels like more than just a drink. Some days, I treat it as a little ceremony—a way to check in with myself, breathe deeper, and reconnect. Other times, I make it just because I want something cozy that feels nourishing but not too heavy. It’s grounding, a little earthy, and always comforting.
Ingredients:
1 cup plant milk (oat, almond, or cashew work beautifully)
1–2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Small pinch of sea salt
Optional: a pinch of cayenne (for warmth), maca (for energy), or ashwagandha (for calm)
Sweetener to taste (I use maple syrup or a medjool date)
Optional: a few drops vanilla extract or a tiny spoon of coconut butter for richness
How to Make:
Warm your milk gently over low heat—don’t let it boil.
Whisk in cacao, cinnamon, salt, and any optional powders.
Add sweetener and stir until smooth and steamy.
Pour into your favorite mug and sip with intention.
Ritual Tip:
Before that first sip, I like to close my eyes and set a simple intention—like “be here now” or “soften into trust.” Even just a deep breath changes how it feels.
