Sparkling Butterfly Pea Lemonade Refresher
A drink that sparkles, shifts colors, and wakes up your senses.
Why I love it:
This one’s just fun. The dried butterfly pea flowers give it a deep indigo color, and when you add lemon juice… it magically turns purple. Pour it over ice with some sparkling water, and you’ve got the prettiest refresher ever. I like to add a sprig of mint and a few rose petals to make it feel extra special.
Ingredients:
1 cup hot water
1–2 teaspoons dried butterfly pea flowers
Juice of ½ lemon (or more to taste)
Sparkling water (plain or lemon flavored)
Ice cubes (crushed or whole)
Optional: fresh mint and dried rose petals for garnish
Optional: sweetener (like date syrup or maple), to taste
How to Make:
Steep the dried flowers in hot water for 5–10 minutes. The longer it steeps, the deeper the color.
Strain and let it cool completely.
Fill a glass with ice.
Pour in the cooled tea, then add lemon juice — watch the color shift!
Top with sparkling water and give it a gentle stir.
Garnish with fresh mint and rose petals if using.
Tip:
You can make the tea ahead of time and keep it chilled in the fridge for a quick, beautiful drink anytime.
